The best part is the feeling that you get when you are inside the water. This is a place where 2 rivers meet. So, you can feel a sudden current of cold water followed by another current of warm water.... Don't miss it :))
Travel Tips :
1. There are no good hotels around. Best thing is to pack your food in bangalore and then have it at sangama. Worst case, there are few non-veg hotels but i never tried as i am strict vegetarian. There is a good hotel near kanakapura called Hotel Vasu. You can get decent food and it is famous for dosa.
2. Don't forget to carry extra pair of clothes & towel. Guys can wear shorts / boxers but ladies might need to get into water with normal clothes (Reason - Crowd is kind of average but its not bad though).
3. If you are going by car, put your autocop controller inside the car and lock your car manually. This is required to avoid water getting inside the autocop controller.
4. Your start time ideally should be 9 AM from bangalore. Route is bangalore - Kanakapura - Little further Take left. Drive is very good. First visit Chunchi falls (i wasn't impressed much), then sangama and mekedatu. You can cross river from sangama and reach mekedatu easily and wouldn't need a boat.
5. Follow safety procedures and don't go to remote places. Stick with the crowd. Have fun...
