Kodagu - The Scotland of India
Madikeri (ಮಡಿಕೇರಿ) 29th Jun 2008 Briefing : This amazing trip was planned in a week's time with the objective to attend the wedding of my wife's friend. Later, this plan turned out to be awesome weekend trip. Initially we thought of taking bus and had booked tickets but at the last minute we decided to go by car as i was very impressed about the places around mercara. So, four of us (my family and my friend's family) started off at 10:00 PM and reach that mercara by 2:00 AM. We didn't book any hotel prior to this and searched for 10 mins around the bus stand. Found a decent and new hotel and took rooms. We paid around 800 per room / night. The night drive was amazing. We were getting close to reach that place and the whole road was foggy. We hardly could make out anything. It was thrilling experience. Thanks to KSRTC bus which helped us to drive safely (we followed that bus as it was too foogy).
